- An elegant and silky Pinot Noir, with an abundance of Morello cherry fruit, blackcurrant, raspberry, and a touch of forest floor, refined tannins, and a smooth finish. The 2022 vintage was again marked by intense weather, with frost, heatwave and drought occurring at various growth cycle stages. The vines came through all these episodes unscathed, producing generous quantities and a captivating balance and freshness that will appeal to wine lovers worldwide.
The grapes were manually sorted and underwent traditional vinification in large, wooden vats with selected yeasts. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was matured for 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels, of which 20% were new oak.

Winery | The Pinot Noir grapes come from the village of Savigny-Les-Beaune, in the Cote de Beaune, located just under two miles north of Beaune. The soil of the Cote is derived predominantly from the subsidence of the Saone River floodplain, which resulted in a 200-metre drop about the Morvan Plateau, creating a long hillside with very regular slopes and eastern and south-eastern exposures. This fault also freed minerals trapped in the soil for thousands of years. The vineyards stretch across the gentle slopes of the hillside, allowing the vines to take full advantage of exposure to the sun. The vines are manually harvested. |
