- After ageing for 16 months in French oak barrels, this wine presents balsamic aromas of black pepper, cloves, and liquorice, along with ripe dark fruit flavours such as blueberries. It also showcases delicate floral scents of violets and lavender. The palate is rich, elegant, and full-bodied with lively tannins, and the finish is distinguished by notes of roasted coffee and dark mint chocolate.

Poggio alle Nane presents a deep red color. The nose fascinates for its varietal character with sensations of ripe blackberry fruit, which unite with notes of mountain herbs, black currants, and thyme. The hints of liquorice and balsamic and floral violets complete the picture in harmony with sweet spices. The palate is rich and elegant, potent, with lovely and silky tannins and a long and persistent finish. The wine closes with notes of bitter chocolate, wild cherries, and tobacco.
