- The Chianti Classico exhibits a full-bodied profile with a velvety texture and aromatic hints of violets, berries, and cherries. This wine is distinguished by its well-rounded and harmoniously balanced palate, complemented by velvety tannins that culminate in a lingering and delicate finish.
Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled vats with medium-length maceration. After the final blend was assembled, the wine was aged for a minimum of six months in oak casks and then left to rest in a tank before being bottled. Bottling occurred during the second year following the vintage, and the wine benefited from the four to six months of bottle ageing before release.
It is full-bodied with a velvety texture and aromatic notes of violets, berries, and cherries. This Chianti Classico is well-rounded and beautifully balanced on the palate, with velvety tannins leading to a long, delicate finish.

Winery | The Sangiovese grapes come from vineyards under long-term lease in the upper Valdarno region, where organic agriculture is practised. No synthetic chemicals or herbicides are used; only natural organic fertilisers are added to the stony soils. Established in Greve in Chianti in 1967 by the Sacchet and Zaccheo families, Carpineto farms 500 hectares of sustainably farmed land, spread amongst five carbon-neutral estates in the regions of Chianti Classico, Alto Valdarno, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino and Maremma. Carpineto holds the VIVA certification for sustainability and is accredited with ISO 14001 and IFS. Formerly IWSC Italian Wine Producer of the Year, Carpineto was the first ever Italian winery awarded the IWSC International Winemaker of the Year. Antonio Zaccheo is now assisted by his son Antonio and daughter Francesca, who have both previously worked in the wine trade in the USA. After finishing her viticulture, Giovanni Sacchet's daughter, Caterina, joined the Carpineto winemaking team. |
