- Smooth and rounded, showing lovely purity of fruit with a core of ripe red cherry enveloped by delicate vanilla and violet. Sweet tannins and beautifully integrated oak through to a cherry note on the long, persistent finish. 2021 was a warm year. A rainy winter with plenty of snow followed a drier spring weather with little rain. The summer was medium-hot, with a rather wet July and an almost summer-like month of September. The Guyot-trained vines are between 28 and 43 years of age and are low-yielding, producing berries that ripen slowly and have thick skins. They are planted at an average density of around 4,500 vines per hectare. The vineyard is sustainably cultivated, and the vines are manually harvested when each vineyard h |
