Paul Jaboulet Aine Les Jumelles Cote Rotie 2021
- Country France
- Region Northern Rhône
- Grape Syrah
- Case 6/75
- Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (the percentage of new wood varies with vintage), this wine offers Enticing flavours of cassis and violet that complement a remarkably silky and elegant palate—a garnet-red colour with brilliant highlights. The nose is expressive and complex, marked by aromas of ripe red fruit: forest berries, redcurrants, subtle notes of peony and elegant hints of ageing. The wine is delicious on the palate, with aromas of raspberry and sweet spices—a lovely tannic structure that gives way to a hint of sweetness on the finish.
Hand-picked at maturity, destemmed, crushed, controlled alcoholic fermentation, and
temperatures; vating over 3 to 4 weeks.

Winery | One of France's ancient vineyards, Côte-Rôtie's Ampuis wines garnered acclaim during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, coveted by aristocratic tables. The designations Côte Blonde and Côte Brune allegedly stem from Lord Maugiron's estate division between his fair-haired and brunette daughters. Vineyards of extremely steep granite terraces, covered with layers of siliceous limestone in the Côte Blonde and clay and iron oxide in the Côte Brune. |
