- It is a fresh, vibrant wine with intense aromas of crunchy blueberries and subtle floral hints. It is juicy, fruity, and smooth. This is Garnacha's light, delicate, perfumed expression, with crunchy blueberries enhanced by subtle floral hints. It is fresh, with firm tannins surrounding a core of lively fruit to a sustained finish.
The grapes were carefully sorted and destemmed before fermentation in concrete tanks with selected natural yeasts for maximum expression of the personality of the village of Cadalso. The wine was aged for five months in concrete tanks without any oak influence to showcase the purity of the fruit.

Winery | The wine is made from 100% Garnacha grapes grown in the Cadalso de los Vidrios village in Sierra de Gredos. As part of the Sistema Central Mountain range, it forms the backbone of the Iberian Peninsula. It is a sprawling system boasting a rich and diverse grape-growing heritage with several unusual varieties- many are not grown elsewhere in Spain. The soils are decomposed granite, which produces fine, elegant and age-worthy wines. The vines are planted between 700 to 1,100 meters above sea level. These high-altitude sites deliver wide diurnal temperatures, encouraging a long, gradual ripening season for the fruit, producing concentrated flavours from the warm, sunny days and fresh, balancing acidity from the cool nights. The ancient bush vines are up to 90 years old and produce low yields of concentrated juice. They are mostly grown in small, terraced parcels with a northerly orientation and are hand-harvested. |
