Rose Wines have been so successful that they are now available worldwide, offering delicate pale flavours. Provence, as ever, plays a major part in our portfolio, and as importantly, we are developing new and exciting additions from around the world. Indigenous wines such as Assyrtiko, native to Santorini, create white wines that are bone dry, with hints of smoke, saltiness and minerals. A wealth of indigenous varieties and age-old vineyards have been put to use by a younger generation. Grapes such as Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, xinomavro and moschofilero have entered the modern wine drinkers' lexicon and the diverse vineyards found throughout the mainland and the volcanic islands are now producing terroir-driven wines.
Mirabeau
After years of dreaming, Jeany and Stephen decided to leave behind the leafy suburbs of South London in exchange for Provence's blue skies and sunshine. Armed with big ambitions to make a world-class rosé wine and willing to challenge established wisdom, they founded Maison Mirabeau. They embarked upon the ultimate family adventure and created one of the world’s most loved rosé brands. Over the past 11 years, their close relationships with growers have allowed access to over 2,000 hectares of premium Provence vineyards, from which talented winemaker Guillaume Cordonis skilfully blends distinguished rosé wines. With sustainability at the heart of everything they do, Maison Mirabeau is a Certified B Corp. Their wines capture the joie de vivre and elegance of the French Riviera while conveying Provence's quality, terroir and unique heritage.
Alpha Estate
Alpha Estate is located in Amyndeo, North West Greece. It is the brainchild of two visionaries, second-generation vine grower Makis Mavridis and Bordeaux-trained wine maker Angelos Iatrides. Angelos is one of the most talented winemakers working in Europe. This pristine estate in the cool highlands of Western Macedonia comprises 220 hectares of privately owned single-block vineyards that are certified sustainable and employ the most up-to-date vineyard techniques and winemaking technology to produce world-class wines from French and indigenous Greek varietals.
Château de Campuget
Château de Campuget was established in 1942 and is a top-quality estate near Nîmes, steeped in history. The Château itself was built in 1753, and at the same time, the first vines were planted, prompting the '1753' range of wines which mark this historic date. Now in the hands of winemaker Franck-Lin Dalle, who is the third generation of his family to run the estate, the fusion of tradition and progression unite in the cellars where Franck-Lin deftly crafts wines with integrity, finesse and a wonderful expression of terroir from a wide range of traditional Rhône varieties. In 2019, Château de Campuget was certified as Haute Valeur Environmental, which officially recognises the environmental performance of winegrowers, including biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategies, managed fertiliser use and water resource management.
