- A smooth, fresh, and creamy Meursault, with hallmark notes of brioche and hazelnut underpinned by lively, balancing freshness and a long, elegant finish. Following the challenging 2021, the 2022 season was characterised by abundance and excellence. The season started early, with bud-break taking place at the beginning of April. Flowering in mid-June occurred under sunny and warm weather, followed by a rapid fruit set. Summer was hot and mostly dry, although periodic rain refreshed the vines and soil water, sustaining the vines despite the hot temperatures. Harvest started on 28th August, and it was under good conditions, producing wines with vibrant acidity and concentration.
The grapes were gently pressed, and the juice was settled for 24 hours. The must was transferred by gravity into French oak, where barrel fermentation took place with wild yeasts. Temperatures were monitored and never exceeded 23°C to preserve freshness and aromatics. The wine was matured for 12 months on the lees in 228-liter French oak barriques from a blend of forests from Central France, of which 50% was new oak and 50% was first to use, without batonnage.

Winery | This cuvee comes from a blend of two climates within the Meursault appellation. The hillsides have a gradient of around 12% and face southeast, which offers the vines optimal sunlight exposure, while cooler overnight influences bring balancing acidity. The vines are grown in complex, stony, deep clay and limestone soils and are densely planted. Cultivated according to the traditional methods, they are maintained with a large and aerated canopy for sun protection in the warmer vintages of late. They are sustainably farmed with practices such as using fresh compost from local farms to nourish the vines. General treatments include copper and sulphur, and mechanical ploughing occurs to maintain the vineyard soils. Hand-harvested at optimum maturity |
