- Grape Viognier and Marsanne
- Country Australia
- Region Victoria
- ABV 13.5%
- Case size 6/ 75cl
- Producer M. Chapoutier
- The wine is aged in a stainless steel tank on lees for 5 months.
- Pale gold with a fresh, crisp, fruity nose. Supple and fresh on the palate, with a crisp, long finish reminiscent of stone fruits and wonderful minerality. This wine offers complexity, depth, and weight yet refreshes the palate and prepares for another sip. Apricot, pear, spices, quince, honey, floral. Fresh and crisp, with an abundance of ripe stone fruit flavours. There is plenty of fruit weight on the palate, and the finish has a keen acidity, which lifts the savoury, mineral finish.

Winery | The Chapoutier family has long been known as a leading light in the Rhone Valley. Still, in 1997, Michel Chapoutier expanded its horizons into the New World, specifically the Australian region of Victoria. Initially making wines with renowned local wineries such Jasper Hill and Giaconda, 2009 Chapoutier purchased the Shays Flat and Landsborough Valley estates in the Australian Pyrenees, giving birth to the wholly owned Domaine Tournon. Unsurprisingly, the focus is on Shiraz, which, under Chapoutier’s skilled hand, manages to evoke the minerality and elegance of the Northern Rhone whilst still expressing the soil and climate of Victoria. |
