- No Es Pituko Orange displays a slightly cloudy appearance and offers an aromatic profile of peach, tropical fruits, and buttery notes. The palate exhibits a lively and textured character with flavours of orange peel, mandarin, and lime. The finish is zesty and refreshing, balanced by natural acidity.
"No es Pituko," meaning "it ain't fancy" in Chilean slang, aptly describes the natural vinification process. This orange wine is made with minimal intervention. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks and undergo a 60-day maceration period. This extended skin contact gives the wine its amber colour and subtle tannins. No sulphites are added, and the wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined, which may result in a slightly hazy appearance.

Winery | The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this orange wine are sourced from vineyards in Curicó's Entre Cordilleras area, 243 meters above sea level. The soil is a very old granitic sandy loam formed from granite from the Coastal Mountains, full of quartz and other minerals. Vines are spur-pruned, and the fruit is hand-harvested. This area enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long, dry summers, abundant sunshine, and significant diurnal temperature variation, contributing to the grapes' balanced acidity and aromatic complexity. Sustainable agricultural practices are followed to respect the land and its environment. |
