- Bearing all the hallmarks of classic Vouvray, this shows smoky apple and stone fruit with a taut mineral core. It is complex, lengthy, and savoury.
The grapes were selectively picked by hand, and each parcel within the single vineyard was vinified separately to retain the character of the terroir. Fermentation took place at cool temperatures using natural yeasts. Ageing occurred in French oak barrels for 15 months, imparting subtle complexity.

Winery | The Vouvray AOC is situated on the right bank of the Loire Valley. The fruit for this wine comes from 70-year-old vines grown in a three-hectare single vineyard, le Pont de Frasnes. The vineyard is certified organic by Ecocert; the grapes are grown without synthetic or chemical preparations. The vineyard is planted with a south-facing orientation to maximise sunlight exposure during the growing season. It covers Turonian limestone hillsides, interspersed with confluent valleys and covered with perruche, a flinty clay soil. The vines yield 40 hectolitres per hectare, and the grapes are hand-harvested once they have reached optimal maturity. |
