Al-Cantàra
From the slopes of Mount Etna, one of the most distinctive and coveted wine regions in Europe, Al-Cantàra’s wines reflect the soul of the people and the land. Al-Cantàra takes its name from the river, which flows through the municipality of Randazzo, where the winery and the vineyards are located. The 15-hectare vineyard is located at 620 metres above sea level. All the operations related to the vineyard are carried out with total respect for the environment. Al Cantàra also means ‘bridge’ in Arabic, emphasising the link with the Sicilian terroir and symbolising the union between wine, art and poetry. Owner Pucci Giuffrida is a devotee of fine poetry, and for this reason, all of the names of the wines are inspired by the poems by Sicilian authors.
Michele Chiarlo
Michele Chiarlo is one of Piedmont's most prestigious wine producers, creating outstanding wines from some of the most exceptional sites in Piedmont, including Barolo’s world-famous Cannubi and Cerequio vineyards. Founded in 1956 by the great Michele Chiarlo and now run by his sons Alberto and Stefano, the Chiarlo philosophy “is to capture the terroir” from their sustainably cultivated vineyards, which hold the Equalitas certification. With a judicious use of oak, they handcraft a selection of wines suitable for ageing, some of which can be enjoyed earlier. Their stunning collection of Barolo and Barbera wines consistently receives 90+ points from Wine Advocate James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.
Poderi Parpinello
The Parpinello family has run this 35-hectare estate and winery with dedication and passion for three generations. Giampaolo Parpinello and his son Paolo strive to reflect the Sardinian terroir and reveal the typicity of the wines. The vineyard is on a gentle slope between Alghero and Sassari northwest of the island. Modern winemaking technology has been successfully combined with traditional farming methods to reflect this typicity, resulting in high-quality wines with intense aromas and flavours.
