- Bright yellow. The nose delivers tropical notes of pineapples, lychees, and hints of orange and peach blossoms. The complex bouquet is completed by citrusy, fresh sensations accompanied by aromas of hazelnuts and vanilla. Lively on the palate with excellent freshness and structure. It is pleasantly savoury on the finish. Pietra Bianca can be enjoyed immediately but can also age well.
The grapes were given a soft pressing and transferred into stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10° centigrade to assist in a natural static settling of the impurities. The Chardonnay went into small barrels where it fermented at a controlled temperature. The wine then aged on its fine lees in oak barrels, during which time it went through a complete malolactic fermentation. Instead, the Fiano was fermented in stainless steel tanks to bring out its notes of freshness and crispness fully. In January, the Chardonnay left the barrels for stainless steel tanks, where it was blended with the Fiano. The wine underwent an additional ageing period in the bottle before being released.
Pietra Bianca is a bright yellow. The nose delivers tropical notes of pineapples, lychees, and hints of orange and peach blossoms. The palate is lively with excellent freshness and structure, and the finish is pleasant and savoury.
