- This wine is a refreshing blend from the coast of Italy, featuring elegant fruity and floral notes leading to a crisp palate with a salty mineral tang and a touch of almond on the finish. The grape clusters were carefully selected by hand. The grapes were then destemmed, crushed, and gently pressed. Different portions of the grape juice were selected and underwent static clarification. The fermentation occurred with selected yeasts under temperature-controlled conditions of 16°C, lasting approximately two weeks. After fermentation, the wine was aged 'sur lie' (on the fine lees) with weekly stirring to enhance texture and complexity. The wine was bottled in the March following the harvest.

Winery | The vines are grown in the IGT Terre degli Osci in Molise, Southern Central Italy. Terre degli Osci translates as 'the land of the Oscans', an ancient tribe that once inhabited this area of Italy. Located at 80 to 150 metres above sea level, the vineyard covers five hectares of alluvial, medium-textured, mineral-rich soils. The vines were planted in 2000 at a density of 4,200 per hectare and are cordon-trained and spur-pruned. The climate is Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and mild winters. The vineyard is heavily influenced by its proximity to the Adriatic Sea; the coastal winds breeze through the vines, aerating the canopy and keeping them healthy, providing the vineyard with gentle humidity and cooling the vines throughout the hot, dry summers. The vineyard is cultivated sustainably and is in the process of being certified by Equalitas. Harvesting occurs between late August and mid-September when the fruit has reached optimal ripeness. |
