Sanford
Sanford Winery is a renowned pioneer of cool-climate wine from the Sta. Rita Hills, north of Santa Barbera. The legendary Sanford & Benedict vineyard was planted in 1971 by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict, and from the very first vintages, they produced highly acclaimed wines of great complexity. In 1980, the Michael Benedict and Richard Sanford team would go their separate ways. Richard Sanford continued making the wines and planted the La Rinconada vineyard adjacent to the original vineyard. In 2002, the Terlato family became partners, and by 2007, they bought the entire vineyard and have been making exceptional wines from these two sustainably cultivated Cru vineyards ever since. The vineyards and winery are certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. This is a stunning Californian estate, and we are proud to be the exclusive importer of these iconic wines.
Senses Wines
Senses Wines is the dream of three childhood friends. Christopher, Max and Myles partnered with critically acclaimed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown to produce world-class wines from renowned vineyards owned by their families. Since its founding in 2011, Senses Wine's production has grown to include many coveted vineyard sites throughout northern California. The estate vineyards are located in the West Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley, specifically just outside the town of Occidental, where the three founders grew up. The second letter ‘e’ on the label has been substituted with the number ‘3’ representing the three founders and wine senses of sight, scent and sip. They believe the vineyards are their greatest asset and meticulously farm each vine so the winemaking process can be as hands-off as possible. This approach ensures complexity and finesse for each wine, vintage after vintage, and their stunning wines are a testament to their dedicated passion.
Far Niente
One of the classic wineries of Napa Valley, Far Niente derives its name from the Italian phrase 'Dolce Far Niente' - 'how sweet it is to do nothing'. It was founded in 1885 and flourished until the advent of prohibition. Abandoned for over 60 years, the winery was purchased in 1979 by Gil Nickel, who started the long process of restoring it. Today, they own 80 hectares of vineyard across three different sites, which many consider some of the finest viticultural land in the Napa Valley. Since restoration, Far Niente has been dedicated to producing the finest Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon; worldwide demand always exceeds supply.
