- This Pinot Grigio displays subtle aromas of freshly cut lime and apple. The palate is crisp and refreshing and reveals flavours of pear, fresh lime, and lemon grass, which combine with grapefruit freshness to provide good length and intensity.
The fruit was immediately crushed, destemmed, and chilled to a drainer and screw press to minimize juice contact with the grape's red-colored skins. The free-run juice portion was fermented separately at 14° to 16°C using a carefully selected yeast to optimize varietal expression. Finally, the wine was blended and filtered for bottling as soon as possible to retain freshness and crisp fruit flavours.

Winery | The grapes for this wine are sourced from a vineyard in Yenda. The vineyard has produced consistent quality fruit, and this Pinot Grigio is a testament to this. The soils are sandy loam with clay subsoil, which helps retain moisture during warmer summers and minimize vine water stress. The vine age varies, but all vines have been spur-pruned and are generally trained on a single-wire cordon trellising system. The vines are planted approximately 1.8 metres apart, with 3.6 metres between the rows, to allow machinery access. |
